In our March 17, 2024 edition we carried a story headlined ‘Top firm caught smuggling drugs’ where we alleged that the Baines Radiology Group (BIG) was caught smuggling unregistered medicines.
In light of new facts that have been disclosed and brought to our attention we cannot substantiate these claims.
Subsequent to these developments, we retract and unreservedly apologise to Baines Imaging Group (BIG) and Dr Kirtikumar Naik for any harm and reputational loss caused by the misrepresentation. We wish to reiterate that no malice was intended in the publication of the story.
