Man assaulted in dispute over SIM card

The man, Sindiso Ndlovu, appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware, facing assault charges.

A PLUMTREE man allegedly assaulted his friend who failed to to give him his mobile phone SIM card so he could make a call.

The man, Sindiso Ndlovu, appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware, facing assault charges.

Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi said on June 21, 2025, at Tokwana Business Centre, Ndlovu demanded the complainant’s SIM card to make an emergency call.

When told it was at home, Ndlovu allegedly slapped the victim twice, then struck him repeatedly with a wooden pick handle. 

The accused was remanded out of custody until July 29 for trial.
