A 21-YEAR-OLD man from Kwite West village under chief Tshitshi in Mangwe district has been remanded in custody following his arrest for raping his niece.Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware remanded the man to March 12 for trial.The court heard that on March 4 this year, the complainant was returning home from pre-school together with her schoolmate and Nkomo allegedly waylaid them and as they approached Thuthuthuvi River he grabbed her.The man allegedly carried the complainant to a nearby river and kissed her before raping her once.He allegedly raped her again before fleeing.The complainant went home and narrated her ordeal to her grandmother and a police report was made leading to the uncle’s arrest.
