Kingsdale man in trouble for robbery

Norman Moyo (30) appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Beverly Madzikatire on Monday to answer charges of robbery. He pleaded not guilty.

A MAN from Kingsdale in Bulawayo has been arraigned before Bulawayo Magistrates Court charged with robbery.

Norman Moyo (30) appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Beverly Madzikatire on Monday to answer charges of robbery. He pleaded not guilty.

He was remanded in custody to December 6 next year because the complainant, Justin Dube (60), was not available to testify.

The court was told that on September 2, at Makhelwane bottle store, Bulawayo, Moyo, who was in the company of three other suspects who are on the Run, struck Dube with a brick on the right side of his head.

The group also allegedly assaulted Dube with fists several times on the face and all over the body.

Moyo allegedly stole US$450 from Dube which was in his pockets and disappeared before the victim reported the theft to the police.

Police investigations were carried out, leading to Moyo’s arrest.
