ZIMBABWEANS have lost confidence in the ruling Zanu PF party and the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) will win the forthcoming harmonised elections, Entumbane/Njube constituency candidate Prince Dube has declared.
Dube also vowed that he would overwhelmingly triumph over three contenders eyeing the same seat.
Dube is facing Zanu PF’s Linda Chinamano, Dingilizwe Tshuma, another CCC candidate, and Nqobizitha Ndlovu (ZANC).
He said residents under the Entumbane/Njube constituency had faith in him.
“I am a person of rich background. I was not picked up from nowhere, or from the street. I am a person of reasonable background and my strength is the experience of having worked as a councillor and my results are with the people,” Dube said in an interview with Southern Eye over the weekend.
“Of course, my competitor from Zanu PF is one Chinamano. I can tell you confidently that she will not stand any chance against me because she comes from a party that has destroyed the country.
“People have lost confidence in Zanu PF’s 43 years of destroying the infrastructure that it inherited from the colonial government.”
He dwarfed Tshuma’s chances saying he was an impostor purporting to be representing CCC when he was aware that he was not seconded by the citizens.

Tshuma is the incumbent legislator on an MDC party ticket.
“Tshuma has been a Member of Parliament for two terms in Entumbane. When you do two terms, you are a legend, for one to seek a third term is unheard of. In my view, I see him as very dishonest,” Dube said.
“Tshuma during his tenure performed dismally in the constituency. He will be licking his wounds on August 23 and people are going to show him that they no longer want him.”
Dube promised to work with the councillors and senators for the development of the constituency, while creating an enabling environment for improved service delivery.
