A 53-YEAR-OLD man from Rainham Plots in Harare has been sentenced to 30 years in jail for raping his daughter aged 15 on different occasions.

Prosecutor Cecilia Mashingaidze proved that in April 2024, the man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the victim, arrived home and found the complainant seated in the dining room.
The man accused the minor of having an intimate relationship with her aunt’s husband before he assaulted and raped her.
The complainant screamed for help, and the accused person threatened to kill her.
He repeated the sexual assault in May 2024 and on two other occasions.
