HARARE, Feb 4 (NewsDay Live) - The Entrepreneurs Network of Zimbabwe (ENZ) is set to host the inaugural Health Tech Connect Conference, a groundbreaking event bringing together medical professionals, technology experts, policymakers and industry leaders to explore the transformative potential of technology in the healthcare sector.
The two-day event -set for later this month- will feature expert-led presentations, panel discussions, interactive exhibits, and networking sessions. under the theme; "Building Healthcare Systems with Tech-driven Solutions".
In an interview, ENZ marketing executive Roselyn Chisveto emphasized the critical role of technology in modern medicine, stating that there is a need to embrace technology.
"We are at a turning point where technology is no longer an option but a necessity in the medical field. Health Tech Connect 2025 is about bringing stakeholders together to embrace innovations that will improve patient care, streamline medical value chain operations, and ultimately save lives."
According to the organisers, the event will also focus on emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning for early disease detection, personalized medicine, and robotic surgery.
The conference will also delve into the applications of Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) in therapy, training, and rehabilitation, as well as the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) for remote patient monitoring and chronic disease management.
According to Chisveto, experts will also explore the impact of big data analytics and block chain technology on predictive healthcare, data security, and personalized treatment.
