POLICE have launched a manhunt for four man accused of murder.
The gang is wanted for beating up and killing Makhosezwe Mpofu at Hozi Busines Centre in Silobela, the Midlands province, early this year.
Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said the law enforcement agents were still looking for four outstanding suspects who have been on the run for eight months now, in connection with a case of murder which occurred in April this year.
“The suspects are Ryan Nangombe, Regis Mathema, Nqobizitha Mathema, Evidence Mpofu Pumulani aka Marabha and another one only identified as Leonard. No further particulars of these suspects are known,” he said.
Circumstances are that on April 12 and at around 4pm, Fuzane was drinking beer at Hozi business centre when he was approached by the suspects, who asked him to buy them beer.
Fuzane refused and a misunderstanding arose, but they were refrained from fighting by other patrons.
“On the same day at around 1900 hours, the suspects approached Fuzane while they were armed with sticks, machetes, knives and an axe. He sensed danger and ran away,” Mahoko said.
“They chased after him, caught up with him and indiscriminately attacked him with weapons. He died later on.
