Shot in the arm for Guruve SMEs

Minister of State for Provincial Affairs for Mashonaland Central Province, Christopher Magomo, urged other SMEs to invest in the province.

GURUVE Rural District Council's (RDC) entrepreneurs benefitted from a monthly Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) networking breakfast program organised by their council, Indigenous Advisory Practitioners Association of Zimbabwe (IAPAZ), Zimbabwe Chamber of SMEs (ZCSMEs).

A number of SMEs attended the networking event, which was held at Guruve View Point Lodge on Friday.

Speaking at the event, Acting Guruve RDC CEO Munyengetero Maphosa highlighted that SMEs are the major source of revenue at their council.

"Guruve RDC has rapid growth and opportunities in mining, agriculture, retail, and tourism. We have pressure to supply the international market,” he said.

Maphosa added that the district is open for more SMEs as it is strategically located along the Harare and Kanyemba Border Post highway. Kanyemba Border Post links Zimbabwe with Zambia and Mozambique.

Minister of State for Provincial Affairs for Mashonaland Central Province, Christopher Magomo, urged other SMEs to invest in the province.

“Mashonaland Central is a land of milk and honey in terms of investment issues.

“SMES are the backbone of our economy. The success of our nation depends on finding solutions to the problems we are facing.”

ZCSMEs Provincial Chairman applauded Guruve RDC for opening doors for SMEs.

Entrepreneur Kudzanayi Vere presented some points from his book, Becoming a Person of Impact (The Six-Pack Approach).
