DESTINY of Africa Network (Danet) have said they are excited after President Emmerson Mnangagwa assumed the Southern African Development Committee (SADC) chairmanship saying the region will see a major economic trajectory as he has a business acumen.
The country hosted the (SADC)Heads of State and Government summit which was held at Mt Hampden in the capital on Saturday.
The following day Mnangagwa presided over the ground breaking ceremony for the SADC Liberation Square at the Museum of African Liberation in Harare.
Mnangagwa a farmer and businessman in his own right is set to lead the region for the next year.
Mnangagwa received the SADC badge from the outgoing chairman President Joao Lourenco of Angola symbolising the official announcement of his reign.
Danet Manicaland chairperson Wilson "Soks" Masokowere yesterday he was for Mnangagwa for assuming the chairmanship position.
"We are very happy for President Emmerson Mnangagwa for assuming the (SADC) chairmanship position and the second republic under Mnangagwa have been doing very well so we are congratulating him for the position," he said.
"We are going to see a major economic growth in the region as President Emmerson Mnangagwa is a farmer and businessman in his own right ,so we are going to see a major economic growth in the region,"he said

He said Danet which offers low income housing scheme saying they have benefited from Mnangagwa 's policies as they after offering affordable housing stands.
Some of the beneficiaries are vendors,civil servants among other beneficiaries.
Beneficiaries have applauded Danet treasure Temba Shumba Sauramba for ring fencing their funds into good use.
