The state on Monday withdrew charges against former Finance minister Ignatius Chombo who was accused of fraud after he allegedly acquired a loan from Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe to use for agricultural purposes before he allegedly converted to other purposes.
The former cabinet minister was facing more than 10 charges that include, criminal abuse of office, fraud, criminal nuisance, corruption among others but he is now left with only two charges which are being investigated by Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission after all of them was withdrawn.
