ENCOURAGED by a packed schedule of performances, Meluleki “Brema” Moyo, leader and bassist of popular Matabeleland North province-based music group Insimbi ZeZhwane, is optimistic that 2025 will be a better year for the ensemble, promising a thrilling ride for fans and a significant impact on the music scene.
Speaking to NewsDay Life & Style, Brema revealed that they are preparing to release a single track which will be accompanied by a video.
“If all goes well, we have plans to release a single track, for which I think if we have enough funds, we can also do a music video. This will make us make a mark on the music scene,” he said.
“We already have many shows lined up in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
“From the beginning of the year, we had many events lined up. As I am speaking now, there is another one happening on February 21.”
He said 2024 was a good year for them in music.
“We closed 2024 on a very good note, even though sometimes we had issues of the rains affecting our performances, but we really had many shows,” he said.
The group last year released its 10th album, which was its first after the tragic passing on of lead vocalist Elvis “MaEli” Mathe in an accident in August 2023.
