NESTLED in the heart of Zimbabwe, the historic ancient city of Masvingo hosts a spectacular annual event that draws music lovers from far and wide.
The Lake October is a vibrant celebration of local and national talent, featuring a diverse line-up of artistes across various genres.
Head of public relations Tavita Mpala said the event targets 8 000 visitors.
“This year’s 4th edition of Lake October is targeting 8 000 festive goers, with many activities lined up for the weekend,” Mpala said.
Renowned musicians from around the country will grace the festival, adding a global touch to the celebration.
These performances not only entertain the crowd, but also foster cultural exchange and promote Zimbabwe as a destination for music enthusiasts.
The festival began with the fill-up Masvingo Music Concert at Caravan Park Masvingo yesterday headlined by Freeman, Trevor Dongo, Chillspot Family, Nisha Ts, DJ Nospa (Byo) and local supporting artistes on rotation.
