
HARARE, Feb 18 (NewsDayLive) - Cassava Technologies has made key strategic management appointments to effectively drive the company's growth and innovation across its operations.
Lorreta Songola has been appointed managing director of Cassava's Zimbabwe business operations, while Wellington Makamure takes on the role of chief executive officer (CEO) for Africa and beyond.
Finhai Munzara has been named chief corporate development officer, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and strategic partnerships.
Other key appointments include Bronwen Zehmke as group general counsel; Leonard Bore as chief risk and compliance officer, responsible for managing compliance risk, enterprise risk, internal audit, and ESG teams; Sharon Marufu as chief supply chain officer, overseeing group-wide supply chain and procurement.
Ahmed El Beheiry becomes chief operations officer and chief artificial intelligence officer, responsible for commercial strategy, business processes, CIO, and supply chain; Deon Geyser as CEO of Liquid Networks, a Cassava Technologies subsidiary, overseeing connectivity business across Africa; Ziaad Suleman as CEO of Cassava's South African operations, driving growth and innovation strategy; Adil El Youssefi as CEO of co-location business for the group.
These appointments, effective March 1, 2025, are expected to bolster Cassava's growth and innovation strategy across its operations.
