Econet SmartBiz data packages get good reviews

Econet Wireless Zimbabwe's new SmartBiz unlimited data packages are receiving great reviews from customers across the country who have used the high-speed Internet services.

Designed to meet the growing demand for fast, consistent and reliable data connectivity, SmartBiz, which was launched about a month ago, is proving popular with small businesses, schools, and organizations seeking a convenient and affordable broadband solution.

Fadzai Murimbika, a small business owner from Harare, said he was very happy with SmartBiz’s performance, particularly its speed and dependability. “The internet speed is incredibly fast,” he said, “and what’s more impressive for me is the consistency. SmartBiz has been reliable even during peak hours, which is important for my business.

“It has allowed me to complete online transactions quickly and stay connected with clients without any interruptions,” he said.Sarah Nyamadzawo, a Gweru resident and college lecturer, spoke of how the SmartBiz package has made a significant difference in the education sector in which she works.

“For the first time, our students have access to online learning platforms without interruption. Smartbiz has made it easier to collaborate with fellow educators and explore a wider range of teaching materials.”

SmartBiz offers a range of connectivity options to meet the needs of small to medium enterprises (SMEs), farmers, schools and churches, with packages tailored for different client usage patterns. The product is designed to be affordable for the majority of business owners, with packages starting from as low as US$45 per month. “We’ve seen a tremendous improvement in our daily operations,” said Sokuluhle Ngwenya, owner of a gift and speciality shop in Bulawayo. “The reliable data speeds mean I can process orders faster, manage deliveries efficiently, and respond to customer queries in real time. SmartBiz has transformed how we do business,” she added.“We rely heavily on real-time data transmission, and SmartBiz has proved to be a game changer for us,” said Calton Mutambi, who runs an agribusiness.“With dependable internet speeds, we can monitor market prices, send information to clients, and coordinate shipments without delays. It’s empowering local businesses like ours.”Consumer advisory website, ZimPriceCheck.com, recently hailed Econet's introduction of SmartBiz as a "game-changer." “What sets SmartBiz apart from its competitors is its flexibility. Unlike other services that are geo-locked, SmartBiz lines can be used anywhere – whether you're at home, in the office, or on the move – giving users a distinct edge,” the website noted.Early speed tests have also shown impressive performance, with some users experiencing download speeds of up to 160 Mbps, far exceeding the advertised range of 5 to 20 Mbps. While speeds may vary as more users come on board, ZimPriceCheck.com believes Econet’s solid infrastructure positions them to meet the rising demand.Econet has over the past two years been heavily investing in network infrastructure upgrades to allow for faster 4G connectivity throughout much of the country, and super-fast 5G connectivity in some towns and cities.
