Letter from America: Americans breathe a sigh of relief during Thanksgiving holidays!

Biden used lawfare to get at his political opponents. While the practice became widespread under Barak Obama’s tenure (2008-2016), Biden carried it to its extreme.

Many Americans are feeling a sense of freedom from fear, and a sense of relief during the Thanksgiving week-end. The reason is not far to seek.

The renegade billionaire Donald J. Trump’s sweeping electoral victory has sent President Joe Biden’s political prosecutors fleeing for their lives.

Biden used lawfare to get at his political opponents. While the practice became widespread under Barak Obama’s tenure (2008-2016), Biden carried it to its extreme.

The names mentioned here are only the tip of the iceberg. Steve Bannon was Trump’s strategist and is credited with discovering extreme dissatisfaction with economic malpractices which led to inflation and high prices. A dozen eggs, as we speak, cost US$5 (US$2).

Petrol cost US$5 (US$2).  Biden first action in office was to close the Canadian oil pipeline.

This threw 20 000 workers out of employment and raised overall costs by 25%.

Bannon was accused of two crimes. The first one was stealing money from a Go-Fund Me Build a wall across the Mexican order.

This matter has not been raised before a court of law.

He was thrown in jail for four years (minus days for good behaviour) for disrespecting Congress. Democrats did not have to go to court for this case.

Roger Stone, a personal advisor to Trump was convicted of lying to a congressional investigation team.

The 70-year-old man was dragged out of his house in the wee hours of the morning (about 5am) by a posse with instructions to use deadly force if he refused to come nicely (Zimbabwe English).

His wife, who saw her husband dragged away, is said to have forgotten her night robe as she attempted to intervene.

She too could have placed herself in mortal danger.

Paul Manafort was Trump’s election manager. With a long history in foreign affairs in the Ukraine, Democrats found him an easy pick. He did not have a license to lobby on behalf of foreign governments. He was locked up for 7.5 years in a jailhouse.

Biden’s son, Hunter, had a similar record, having represented Ukraine’s Burisma Energy Company for three years at US$50k per month.

The Department of Justice slow walked the case and ran out of the statute of limitations.

He was then allowed to voluntarily plead mis-representing his taxes, usually a misdemeanor if one promises to pay up.

Attorney Michael Cohen, who paid hush money to Trump’s sexual partners was promised “a deal if he squealed on Trump.”

He was allowed to serve a three-year sentence in his home-the excuse being that jailhouses were Covid-19 infested.

Some 200 January 6 protestors, who were demonstrating about a possible theft of the 2019 election have been locked up in jailhouses in solitary confinement.

The US constitution in Amendment 1 guarantees the “right of the people to peaceably assemble and to petition the government.”

But the mother of all abridgement of the rule of law was the accusation that Trump had inflated the value of his property. Deutsch Bank, which authorized the loan was very pleased by Trump’s prompt payment of the loan.

The idea of a US$543 million fine was meant to run Trump out of the race for president. There was another case where Trump was found guilty of a spurious case, and was waiting to be jailed for 74 years.

Many Americans are praying in solitude or in quiet groups, praising God that this Democratic tyranny has been rejected by the people.

The irony of ironies.

When the two parties were engaged in the election campaigns, the Democrats bought out all the influencers they could find.

The following list is but a tip of the iceberg.

Oprah Winfrey was paid US$1 million to say nice words. Beyonce — a singer was paid US$10 million, Brother Dr. Ufatunde was offered US$15K but refused to be bought, Reverend Al Sharpton US$250 000 and Brother Roland Martin went away with US$350 000 for a 30-minute interview.

The irony of ironies is that having been paid in advance, many of these influencers were perhaps inebriated by their own good fortune that they totally misled pollsters and said that Kamala was going to win a historic victory.

They were overly boisterous and arrogant. Sister Joy Reid, who received a salary of US$13 million a year to say bad words about Trump prophesied that there was no way Trump could win.

Professor Davis Hanson says that to offer a favourable opinion about Trump would have placed one in a dangerous situation, either losing a job or getting property vandalized.

Lying to the pollsters that one was independent became a common theme. In the event, Trump won decisively across all races and took 40 states out of 50, including a majority of 5 million voters plus.

Super arrogance

The Obamas, Barak and Michelle are super orators-and when they speak, one is filled by the “spirit” and none wants to do something.

But after one goes home and seeks to discern the meaning of the words Michelle spoke, one is faced by the emptiness of false promises.

Michelle told the Democratic Convention about values of thrift and sharing.

“My mother and father did not aspire to be wealthy- in fact they were suspicious of folks who took more than they needed.”

About the evil Republicans, she said these words.

They demonise “our children for being who they are and loving who they love.”

In the first sentence, one wonders what values they learned from their parents. The Obamas are worth US$70 million, own three houses, one at Martha’s Vineyard, one in Chicago and another in Washington, DC. One wonders if the Obamas are only suspicious of Trump, or folks like him who take more than they need.

The sentence is cleverly constructed to hide its true meaning. Republicans object to 4-year-old kids being taught in kindergarten that one can choose one’s sex and that a doctor is obligated to cut a boy’s tail if that boy wants to be a girl.

Americans are breathing a sense of relief this Thanksgiving week-end, though it is wise to look over one’s shoulder.
