CFAO managing director  Carl Vargas revealed that the company's unified structure, comprising the Toyota Business Unit and Multibrand Business Unit, is designed to deliver exceptional mobility solutions to Zimbabwean customers.

New kid on the block CFAO Mobility  Zimbabwe has shaken the country's automobile sector, commanding over 32% of the market share in 2024.

CFAO managing director  Carl Vargas revealed that the company's unified structure, comprising the Toyota Business Unit and Multibrand Business Unit, is designed to deliver exceptional mobility solutions to Zimbabwean customers.

With global giants Toyota, Suzuki, Volkswagen, and Hino under its umbrella, CFAO Mobility Zimbabwe is poised to revolutionise the country's automotive landscape,  Vargas said.

"Our vision is to create spaces where customers can walk into one branch and have access to a wide choice of vehicles, supported by consistent service excellence regardless of the brand," Vargas said during the event that was beamed live by NewsDay and Heart and Soul TV on Wednesday.

Vargas added that their new venture prioritises customer satisfaction, offering round-the-clock breakdown services, comprehensive after-sales services, and tailored maintenance contracts.

The company has teamed up with local banks to develop tailored customer auto financing solutions, further solidifying its commitment to excellence.

The company's ambitious expansion strategy is backed by its parent company, CFAO Group, a French-headquartered entity with operations in 45 African countries and over €8.3 billion in annual revenue.

"The future is bright. We are here to make Zimbabwe more mobile — to deliver automotive excellence and mobility, together," added Vargas.

Lawrence Mawoni, general manager of Multibrand Business Unit, highlighted the unit's mission to deliver exceptional choice, quality, and service to Zimbabwean consumers.

"Our mission is to ensure these brands thrive by bringing an excellent level of choice, quality, and service to the Zimbabwean consumer," he said.

Mawoni added that the company was excited about the future prospects of Volkswagen and Suzuki in Zimbabwe and is committed to becoming a key partner in the country's economic growth.

Meanwhile, Alexis Triniac, Toyota business unit general manager at CFAO Mobility Zimbabwe, said their wide range of products and services meet the needs of the local market.

He highlighted Toyota's impressive market share of 28% and the business unit's delivery of 1,650 cars in the previous year, featuring a range of popular models, including sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, and pick-ups. The New LC Prado 250 has been a notable success, and the company has also introduced hybrid models, including the Corolla Cross HEV, with plans to launch the new Hilux in the second half of 2026.
