ZIMBABWE international striker Tino Kadewere has begun a new chapter in his career, signing a three-year deal with Greek Super League side ARIS Thessaloniki.
The move, announced yesterday, sees the 29-year-old forward join the fervent atmosphere of the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium. His contract with the French side was due to end next year.
Kadewere, who scored twice in 26 appearances for Nantes, is eager to reignite his prolific scoring touch with his new club.
In his first remarks as an ARIS player, Kadewere set a clear intention for his time in Greece.
"In the new year, let's achieve our goals," he said, according to the ARIS FC website.
"I am truly overwhelmed by the love I have received from the people of ARIS in these first days, and I am very happy to belong to this team. I have received a lot of information about ARIS. It is one of the biggest teams in Greece, which sets high goals every year and has fans who love their team passionately.
"We have very good players, and I came to help from my side so that we can achieve our goals in the new year. I am looking forward to the new experience I will have here. I can honestly say that I feel very happy, and I will give my best for ARIS. Together, we will give everything so that we have a good year with successes and distinctions," he added.
The transfer marks Kadewere's seventh professional club and his sixth abroad, showcasing a diverse career path, since his formative years at Prince Edward School and Harare City.

His European journey began in Sweden with Djurgardens IF in 2015, where he won a Swedish Cup.
He then moved to French side Le Havre in 2018, where he excelled, becoming the Ligue 2 top scorer with 20 goals in 24 appearances in his second season.
This stellar performance earned him a €12 million move to French giants Olympique Lyonnais in 2020.
Over two years at Lyon, he made 53 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists. A loan spell at Mallorca in 2022 (19 appearances, 2 goals) further broadened his experience before a six-month loan to FC Nantes in early 2024 eventually led to a permanent transfer.
Despite facing some criticism from fans during his time at Nantes, where he appeared 26 times, Kadewere leaves with a professional record of 76 goals and 26 assists in 247 appearances across all European clubs and competitions.
A seasoned international, Kadewere has been a vital part of the Zimbabwe national team since 2015, earning 19 caps and scoring three goals.
Now 29, he brings a wealth of experience and a determined spirit to ARIS Thessaloniki, as they look to capitalise on his attacking prowess and achieve their ambitions in the Greek Super League.
