SCOTTLAND . . . . . . . . (1) 1
THE search for a winning formula continued for struggling Dynamos after they suffered a narrow loss to flamboyant debutants Scottland in an entertaining Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.
Tymon Machope's strike in the 46th minute proved decisive for Scottland.
This victory marks their second consecutive win, propelling them to second place on the league table with 19 points, trailing leaders MWOS by three points and overtaking defending champions Simba Bhora on goal difference.
For Dynamos, this latest setback leaves them languishing in 14th position with eight points from 10 matches.
The Harare giants are precariously close to the relegation zone, separated only by a slightly better goal difference compared to CAPS United and Yadah, who occupy 15th and 16th places respectively.
Despite showing promise, particularly in the first half, DeMbare's persistent inability to convert chances in front of the goal proved to be their undoing once again.

They created several opportunities but failed to capitalise.
Their profligacy was punished swiftly after the break.
A lapse in communication within the Dynamos' defence allowed the ball to fall kindly for Machope, who calmly slotted home from close range, securing maximum points for the newly-promoted side.
Machope, who also netted the winner against Herentals in their midweek fixture at the same venue, once again proved to be the difference, taking his season's tally to three goals.
Yesterday's result marks Dynamos' fourth defeat of the campaign and extends their streak without a goal to six consecutive matches, much to the frustration of their coach, Lloyd ‘Mablanyo’ Chigowe.
"I thought we had a very good first half, but miscommunication and poor decision making in the early stages of the second half cost us the game," he said.
"I'm at a loss for words with the way we conceded the goal because we were in control of the game, especially in the first half, and to come back from the break to concede such a goal is disappointing.
"Also, we had several clear chances, but we also could not finish them, so it’s disappointing," Chigowe said.
In contrast, Scottland's coach, Tonderai Ndiraya, commended his team's resilience in securing the victory.
"I'm very happy with the win. It's the first time in 10 games that we have managed to win two games in a row.
"I think that’s what we have been looking for; we needed this consistency, unfortunately, we were consistently getting draws.
"But now we have won two games in a row, and we hope we can get more wins going forward."
