Basic insight into divine blessing

Divine blessing

THERE is a higher life for a born again believer which is supernatural. It is attained by knowledge of who we are in Christ. One lame excuse often used to justify poverty is poor family background. While family inheritance is a handy launch pad, you can defy ancestry and emerge rich and wealthy through divine blessing. Salvation or being born again is a call to blessing.

Many feel disfranchised because of where they come from. Their families do not make it in the who is who of achievers and royalty. Origin should not stop the future from yielding to your aspirations and commitment to do well. The battle can be spiritual, but it is very mental and psychological.

The Bible makes a clarion call to renewing of the mind. Romans 12:2, read: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” As we continue day and night reading, studying, meditating on the Word and praying accordingly, we will be renewing our minds to our new blessed nature.

Many have defied the odds and shot to the top disregarding historical disadvantages. Remember the blessed families started with one person who set on changing history and their negative predicament. Generational curses have to be broken by assumption of a new identity in Christ which is salvation.

Seeing certain families apparently making it in life is frightening and to some is cause for envy and jealous. This unfortunately, is a major cause for witchcraft. There is a danger in our societies when blessedness is seen as a preserve of certain families.

You may not come from the monarchy or royal family but lead a blessed life. Hexes and spells are fired on those succeeding ignorantly assuming the blessing will be transferred to the curser or satanically to pull others to one's level. This is unfortunately the African mindset that you succeed by pulling others down. No, we can all succeed by standing together.

Many families are at loggerheads because of accusations of witchcraft. Brothers do not see eye to eye and clans are at war. Yes, it is possible to bewitch others to acquire wealth, but true riches come from divine blessing. It is a matrix that starts with one step growing gradually. Wisdom teaches us in Proverbs 13:11, Amplified, “Wealth obtained by fraud dwindles, But he who gathers gradually by [honest] labor will increase [his riches].”

Blessedness comes from doing the Word of God. You may come from a not so rich family and rise to the pinnacle. This is asserted by Jesus in Luke 11:27-28 which read, "[27] And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. [28] But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." Jesus admits that His mother, Mary, was indeed blessed and that it was an honour to be His mother, but He says that the chief blessedness, the highest honour, was to do the Word of God. Jesus here declares that her blessing did not so much lie in the womb that bare her, and the paps that gave Him suck but in who heard and did the Word of God.

Scripture points to the fact that Mary did the Word of God from where she derived her blessing. Jesus also kept His Father's commandments, the Word of God, and was thus called blessed. This is Old Testament. Under the New Testament we do the Word. Based on this one can prosper by following biblical teaching. Jesus made it crystal clear that one cannot be denied blessing because one was not born by certain parents.

This should help those who scorn their parents and accuse them of their stagnation and misfortune. Indeed you might have certain inheritance if you were born next door, but you are not denied access to blessing based on  your mother or ancestry but the Word of God offers anyone who so wishes chance. Our God is a just God and offers level playing field to us all regardless of lineage.

Peter got this revelation and remarks in Acts 10:34-35, "[34] Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: [35] But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him." True blessedness, therefore, comes from fearing God and doing His Word. Origin can help you advance but if squandered by departing from God's Word, generational wealth can vanish like dew in the morning.

Safeguard family inheritance but do not assume others cannot rise from obscurity through obedience to God's Word and take up the seat. If you were suffering from demonic lies that you belong to a family cursed to perpetual suffering, grab the Word of God and live a blessed life. Through divine blessing derived from doing His Word, you can work your way up the ladder.

Desist from accusing your family from denying you blessings. Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Grace and peace be multiplied to you through knowledge.
