Last week, more than 1 000 Bulawayo residents took to the streets, protesting against the city council’s plans to install pre-paid water meters at their households.
Young and old, encouraged by NGOs, came together in numbers.
By 12 pm, a sizeable crowd had gathered by the Bulawayo City Hall car park, the starting point of the march.
Residents made their feelings known about pre-paid water meters.
The march and rally was well attended, inspite of the low temperatures in the city.
