Change the quality of your questions in order to change your direction

The mind has the ability to observe and absorb information.

OUR lives are controlled by an internal language.

Secondly, they are controlled by inner storage.

So, if we can recognise that internal pattern, we have an advantage.

You can’t change what you don’t know.

Every human has a pattern or paradigm that controls the results in their life.

This has been inscribed into our nervous system through learning, experience or information we have been gulping over the years.

We have to transform our nervous system by changing that pattern.

Our internal wiring determines our firing.

What aligns our life is the ability to realise and be aware of our neuropath ways.

In order to reorder, clean or reset our neuropathway or paradigm, we need new programming.

Now that you have chosen a new pathway, it is never enough.

You need to replace it with new GPS information system that will change your trajectory.

How do I move from here?

What do I need to move from here?

What internal motivation do I need to keep focused and working towards my goal?

In this article, we are dealing with six things (mindset, paradigm, belief systems, feelings, action, and results) that control your language.

Your internal language is controlled by your mindset.

Your mindset builds your paradigm or pattern you wish to embrace.

Your paradigm ultimately results in your belief systems.

Your belief systems are the building blocks of your feelings; feelings about yourself and your environment.

Your feelings drive your action. Your action delivers your results.

Neuro-linguistic programming

A particular group of people has a pattern of behaviour due to what psychologists call neuro-linguistic programming (NLP): how people are conditioned to think, and how to think.

People use specific filters to judge or formulate an opinion around a particular subject because of their NLP.

An accomplished author, Rabson Shumba, said in his writings: “The level of your mental exposure will determine the level of your success.”

Our nervous system must be triggered by particular installed software and behave accordingly.

Neuroplasticity

The mind has the ability to observe and absorb information.

That makes the mind change; for the good or negatively.

The brain can grow, hence the word neuroplasticity: flexibility, malleability, agility.

So, we have to constantly rub our minds with information that echoes progress. Internal growth means external development.

Motion vs emotion

There are moments you need to move even when it does not feel like it.

When you start moving, it changes your impetus as you start to feel differently.

At times we don’t achieve things, not because we don’t know how to do them, but because we have not taken that first step that changes everything.

It’s not that you are not a great writer; it’s because you have not started writing.

For some things, you will only be able to learn and experience when you start moving.

Some lessons come only when you start doing.

Just like a child, they won’t learn how to walk until they stumble as they try to step out.

They will only experience walking if they start trying to walk.

They fall, they fail and that shouldn’t make them give up.

They must keep stepping out one step at a time until they walk, then run.

Most people want to run when they have never walked.

Associational assimilation

Association also defines our language.

The thoughts of the people we associate with become our thoughts.

Hence the need to become intentional about who is your friend or partner.

You partner in the patterning of your internal language.

Who you stick with determines what sticks on you.

Pattern recognition

The worst failure is your inability to pick your personal patterns.

Master your patterns, as those dictate who you are.

That makes it easy for you to improve the positive patterns.

If there are bad ones, they need to be done away with or disobeyed.

But that’s not enough; if you remove the content of the pattern, you will be left with a hollow.

That hollow must be replaced with a better pattern.

Most people struggle to walk away from a habit because they haven’t found a new set of habits to live by.

Steps: pattern recognition, pattern replacement, pattern re-creation.

Ask better questions

In order to change your direction, you have to change the quality of your questions.

You may have sabotaging or suppressing questions that don’t take you anywhere.

The questions you ask rewire the internal language.

The question is not: Why do I have so many problems?

But rather: What can I do to change these problems?

The question is not: Why do I go through problems?

But rather: What will become of me if I go through these problems?

The question is not: How do we solve the problem?

But rather: Why do we solve the problem?

Questions shift how your brain processes the problem at hand.
