Tenant stabs housemate over chores

A Harare tenant has been arraigned before the courts facing two counts of attempted murder after stabbing a colleague in a dispute over house chores.

Harare regional magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa remanded Mike Mazungu out of custody on US$50 bail.

He will return in court on July 29 for routine remand.

The complainant is Mark Mano.

Prosecutor Anesu Chirenje alleged that on June 23, Muzungu alleged had a misunderstanding with Mano over house chores. Muzungu allegedly took a kitchen knife and stabbed Mano on the left side of the chest.

On another count which occurred on the same day, Mazungu allegedly stabbed Mano with a broken beer bottle on the chest.
